Hi Everyone!me-2017

My names Rhiannon, I’m 24 and live in the South West of England. I’m a keen runner and questionable baker with a job I love, great friends, family and a wonderful boyfriend.

I would say for the most part I live a normal, happy life. However I also have anorexia nervosa, and my shoulder is currently a perch for a quite frankly, evil gremlin who tries itsΒ best to make my life as challenging as possible.

Up until this point, I am ashamed to say the gremlin has been winning. ItΒ has managed to make mine, and people around me’s lives pretty damn challenging for the past year or so. However I’ve decided enough is enough and I will reclaim my life.

This blog will be the story of my journey, my highs and lows, victories and failures as I attempt to claw back some normality.

I’m not expecting a mass of people to read this, it’s mostly for me to be able to look back and hopefully one day see how far I’ve come. However anyone who reads this is a happy bonus and if it can help others struggling, even just one person, then that’s a wonderful outcome!

I tell a bit more about my story in the ‘About‘ section, so feel free to have a glance at that if you want to know a bit more about my life up until this point.

Thanks for reading! Here’s to the road to recovery!

Rhiannon

    1. Hi Meg, thanks so much; this is definitely great advice and something that’s been recommended to me before. I’m not the most confident on the bike, and don’t currently own one – however it’s something I will consider looking into. xxx

  4. Hi dear Rhi, I am an italian girl ( sorry if my English isn’t as good as I think) suffering of Ana since I was 15. I’ve read very few posts of yours, but what I read made me feel understood and not alone; I mean, I felt all your feelings and fears, all your thoughs and worries. I will follow your journey and I hope that together we can win against the gremlin, as you call it! All my best, Elisa

      1. I think it is important that you are writing about anorexia which has the highest mortality rate of any psychiatric illness. I hope you will help yourself and others with recovery.
